The
Slitter Dust Source Capture System was designed to solve long-standing
dust problems created from material being cut at a slitter.
When
slitter dust escapes existing dust collection systems, dust remains on
the finished product resulting in customer dissatisfaction. Dust also
creates major maintenance problems in the machine’s moving parts,
electrical panels and surrounding area.
Specially designed
slitter intake hoods capture the dust generated during the slitting
operation. The system pulls the dust away without further assistance
reducing contamination on your product. An auxiliary port on the vacuum
assists in cleaning up other areas of the machine.
 Intake hoods
positioned at the slitter knife capture dust from the cut sheet,
vacuuming it away through the re-positional flexible tubing to the
vacuum unit.
Dust Collectors
Some conveying materials, like paper and
tissue, produce an excessive amount of dust. The dust, if not filtered,
returns to the atmosphere with the conveying air. This can cause
environmental and health issues. One solution is to route the conveying
air through a dust collector where the filtered dust drops into a
collection hopper for disposal and the conveying air is returned to the
atmosphere. This option is shown at the left.
Dust Bags
Another option for dust removal is to route the
conveying air into duct with hanging filter bags, shown to the left.
The bags include zippered bottoms for dust disposal and are made of a
breathable material that allows the conveying air to vent back into the
atmosphere.
