One of the most critical components for a successful pneumatic conveying system is the design and performance of the air/ material separator whose function is at the end of the system to quickly release conveying air to atmosphere yet insure the conveyed material deposits into the designated waste container on a consistent basis. Curved Back (CB) Separator
For larger trim removal systems, AirTrim’s (3) standard CB steel models provide 5000 cfm, 11,000 cfm and 22,000 cfm. The compact design of the CB helps facilitate mounting the unit in lower head room buildings and provides space beneath it for both the compactor/baler as well as the accumulation chute. Options are available to accommodate interior, exterior, dust free mountings and PSA applications.
Fabric Separator
For smaller trim removal systems requiring less cfm with waste material dropping into Gaylords or dump carts, AirTrim offers several sizes of fabric separators as an economical alternative to steel separators. Hung from ceiling or held by a light weight steel frame, these lower cost, reliable separators work well in most plastic, film, foil and paper converting operations.
Mini Separator
For those higher speed, abrasive material applications needing a durable yet small separator. AirTrim offers the steel Mini Separator that deposits the waste material directly into a receiver. These are designed to accommodate specific material processing requirements and machine speeds. They often require no additional mounting support as they attach to the end of the duct run. Typically these lower cost, reliable separators work well in most plastic, film, foil and paper converting operations.
